Artful History Lessons about the Renaissance

divider

This week we have a new set of leveled social studies lessons. These European history lessons support CCSS reading and writing history/social studies standards as well as the C3 Framework for Social Studies State Standards and also double as art history lessons for teachers looking to integrate visual arts into their curriculum.

The Art of the Renaissance: How did people's changing perceptions of their place in the world during the Renaissance affect the art they created? In these lessons, students make connections between visual texts painted and sculpted by the masters of the Renaissance and secondary source texts that provide historical and philosophical context for these works of art. View lessons >>
